Here you will find all the important information about our spa.
Dates & Reservations
Please book your appointments as early as possible in advance. For spa reservations, please call +385 (51)280 / 170 or call 170 directly at the hotel.
Cancellations
Please let us know in good time if you need to cancel or postpone an appointment. If you cancel the day before, you will be charged 50% of the amount, on the same day 100%.
Delays
Unfortunately, it is not possible to extend treatments beyond the agreed date in the event of delays. If you arrive later than booked, your treatment time will be shortened accordingly.
Preparation for your treatment
Men and women should not shave before a salt peel. Treatments with a peeling should be avoided if you have sunburn. Men are advised to shave before a facial treatment to allow the skin to receive the maximum care and effect. Please inform us of any special health conditions your body may have.
Sauna rules
1. sauna and sport
You should take a rest break of at least 15 minutes after sport - only then can you go into the sauna - and sport immediately after the sauna is also taboo - first spend a few quiet, relaxing minutes on a sauna lounger etc. and with a little time in between and possibly a meal, you will feel even better when doing sport.
2. take your time!
Time pressure is out of place in the sauna - you should relax and leave your everyday problems behind. You should allow at least 2 hours for an extensive sauna session. Taking a sauna takes time - but if you take enough time, you give your body the opportunity to enjoy the healthy effects to the full. The relaxation effect is the decisive factor.
3. don't forget to shower!
Before taking a sauna, we shower with soap to remove creams, oils, make-up etc. from our skin. After the shower, we dry ourselves carefully, as dry skin sweats more quickly. In addition, massaging the skin with a brush stimulates blood circulation and loosens flakes of skin.
4. observe the time limits!
A sauna session lasts between 10 and 15 minutes! Experienced sauna-goers complete up to 3 sauna sessions - beginners can also be satisfied with just 1 sauna session - it's always about your own well-being - everyone makes the decision for themselves. It is therefore very important to pay attention to the signals from your own body and not to be overconfident.
5. drink enough!
You should not drink the lost water immediately after a sauna session - otherwise the elimination of harmful substances and the cleansing effect will be reduced... First wait a few minutes and then drink as much as possible - NO alcohol, but mineral water and diluted fruit juices.
6. pregnancy
Pregnant women should always consult their doctor. However, in the case of an uncomplicated pregnancy, there is no reason not to use the sauna.
7. cold / fever / flu
If we are ill, we should not go to the sauna. The constant alternation between hot and cold, i.e. sweating and cooling down, would only really cause the infection to break out due to the temperature stimuli. If, on the other hand, a cold has already subsided considerably, a visit to the sauna can promote recovery.
8. injuries
Do not use the sauna if you have open wounds; a severe bruise; illnesses accompanied by fever; inflammation - especially if organs and blood vessels are affected; unbalanced diseases of the heart and circulation; epilepsy and cancer; liver and kidney changes; circulatory disorders of the brain and regulatory disorders of the nervous system.
9. cooling down
After the sauna session comes the cooling down phase - this should not be forgotten, as the body now has an increased need for oxygen because the heat has increased the metabolism and blood circulation. If possible, the airways should be supplied with fresh, cool air, so it's best to get outside and breathe deeply. After cooling down in the cold outdoors, we recommend a foot bath with warm water at around 40°C so that the blood vessels slowly open up again.
10. resting phase
After cooling down, wrap yourself in a warm bathrobe and relax on a sauna lounger for at least 15 minutes. Take a short nap, read or listen to music and then, if nothing else speaks against it, take a few subsequent sauna sessions.
SPA Boutique & Vouchers
In our Spa Boutique we stock exclusive beauty & wellness products from ST BARTH, PHARMOS NATUR, VINOBLE and many more. We are also happy to issue gift vouchers for spa experiences or spa products.
Valuables
We recommend that you lock your valuables in your hotel room safe.
Privacy
You will enjoy most treatments undressed. You can change your clothes alone and undisturbed and during the treatment all parts of your body that are not included in the treatment are covered with towels. Ladies decide for themselves whether the breast area should be included in the full body treatments.
Your needs are taken seriously
We will be happy to help you plan your personal spa experience at reception. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This will give you enough time to get to know the MIRAMAR-SPA wellness area, take a shower before a body treatment and enjoy a cup of fresh tea. Please address your wishes directly to your therapist, be it regarding massage pressure, extra towel, sound, light and heat regulation.
Spa etiquette
Out of consideration for the other guests, we kindly ask you to switch off your cell phone during your stay at the spa. Please refrain from using cameras and laptops during your stay at MIRAMAR-SPA and keep your conversation quiet and reserved out of consideration for the other guests.
